Like a traditional sale, we offer a free, walk-through consultation to assess your personal situation. Before calling us we recommend having the family walk through the house and decide what exactly they want to keep and what they want to sell. Don’t throw away anything! Many times what you think is trash is someone else’s treasure.
After we walk through your home and determine your individual requirements, we will recommend options on how to move forward. If you ultimately decide to have a virtual estate sale, our team of professionals will look through the items that you wish to sell and determine their market value. Beyond our personal expertise, we also take the time to research items of value by looking at online pricing and auction results from the databases we subscribe to. In some cases we will also reach out to our network of professionals who specialize in specific items.
To prepare for the sale, Howe Estate Sales catalogs, measures, prices and photographs multiple angles for each individual item or group of items. We then edit the photos and upload each item to our virtual estate sale platform, www.EstateSales.sale.
Like a normal sale, we don’t allow anyone to purchase items until 9am the day of the sale. At that time, our website goes live and customers can browse through items and purchase them directly from our website. After they purchase an item, they will then be able to schedule a pick up slot, all spaced apart to promote social distancing.
In most circumstances, a percentage of the overall sales is retained as a fee for running the estate sale. Consequently, we have an incentive to sell your items for the highest price that the market will bear.

Taking professional-quality pictures of everything for sale in your home and using these pictures when marketing the sale.
